Big Five 120, without inflated claims

A private Big Five snapshot that stays available at $0

Macro Focus includes 120 IPIP-NEO statements, scored deterministically in the browser. It saves five numeric domain snapshots from 0–100. The answer text stays on the device, and no AI narrative or voice request is made.

The values are scale positions, not population percentiles. This is an optional self-reflection exercise—not a diagnosis, clinical evaluation, employment screen, relationship verdict, or professional psychological opinion.

The exact boundary

Free usefulness and paid provider services are separated here so the page does not imply that AI, voice, or advanced synthesis has no cost.

Included in Limited Access at $0

  • A resumable 120-statement IPIP-NEO questionnaire
  • Deterministic scoring in the browser
  • Five saved numeric domain snapshots
  • No AI personality narrative and no voice-provider request
  • Answer text remaining on the device

Not included at $0

  • Population percentile norms
  • Facet-level or relationship reports
  • AI-written personality interpretations
  • Patterns or advanced psychological synthesis
  • A new Short Dark Tetrad assessment, which remains disabled

What Core and Plus add

  • The broader paid psychology and Patterns surfaces
  • Requested AI services where an action clearly states that readable material will be sent
  • The rest of the complete Core or Plus product, including voice and deeper context

Useful precisely because it is limited

A score can suggest a question worth examining. It cannot explain a whole person, settle why something happened, or decide what someone should do next.

Macro Focus keeps the five scores as optional context beside the person's own direction and experience. It does not silently combine them with private Notes, Journal, Focus, or advertising data.

Not the same report as Understand Myself

Understand Myself uses its own 100-question Big Five Aspects assessment and proprietary comparison sample. Macro Focus uses IPIP-NEO-120 and stores five scale positions rather than population percentiles.

Someone seeking Understand Myself's exact factor-and-aspect report should choose that product. Someone seeking a simpler local snapshot inside an ongoing reflection tool may prefer Macro Focus.

The no-charge fallback is real—and bounded

Limited Access keeps one manual Focus aim and goal with up to three total steps, up to 50 active text Notes, 30 active Journal entries, finite text Wisdom, and the locally scored Big Five 120 assessment. It makes no paid AI or voice-provider calls.

What the card-backed trial actually does

Nothing is charged today. The selected Core or Plus plan begins automatically after 14 days unless you cancel in Settings. Cancel during the trial and complete access continues through its end; the account then moves to Limited Access with no scheduled expiry or recurring charge while the account and service remain available.

Questions worth answering plainly

Limits and exclusions are part of the product choice, not fine print after it.

Is the Big Five assessment really free?

It is included in no-charge Limited Access after an accepted trial or paid period ends. The current signup begins with a card-backed 14-day Core or Plus trial, so the page does not pretend there is a separate no-card assessment signup.

Does Macro Focus save all 120 answers?

The questionnaire is scored in the browser. Answer text stays on the device; Macro Focus saves only the five resulting numerical domain snapshots.
