Psychological assessments

Know your tendencies.
Choose what to do with them.

A score is useful when it helps you see something more clearly. Macro Focus brings personality, values and interests into one profile, alongside your notes and the aims you choose.

The combined view

Four perspectives. One personal profile.

After you complete and save the four core assessments, their results sit together. Open a card to see its scores. Keep the differences in view: what comes naturally, what matters to you, what interests you and which tendencies deserve care.

The Macro Focus psychological profile with all four cards expanded: Big Five, Dark Tetrad, Values compass and RIASEC Interest terrain.
Actual product view with illustrative scores. This is a sample profile, not a customer's record. The values card shows the five highest scores; the assessment workspace keeps the full result.

What each assessment adds.

Completed in Macro Focus

Big Five

Your broad personality tendencies: openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness and neuroticism. Facets give a more detailed picture beneath those five domains.

Choose the 120-item or longer 300-item IPIP-NEO questionnaire. Responses are scored with the questionnaire's keyed and reverse-keyed items. In-app scores are displayed on a 0-100 scale; they are not population percentiles.

Completed in Macro Focus

Values compass

What deserves priority when good things compete: independence, achievement, care, security and more. The result gives you language for the tradeoffs behind your choices.

Our 40-item reflection questionnaire covers ten values from Schwartz's framework, using a 1-6 response scale. It is our own questionnaire, not the official PVQ or a clinically validated assessment.

External questionnaire, saved in your profile

RIASEC interests

Six kinds of activity that may hold your interest: Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising and Conventional. Useful context for work, learning and projects you might explore.

Complete the linked RIASEC questionnaire, then review and save its results in Macro Focus. The profile keeps the six dimensions and your three-letter interest code. It does not choose a career for you.

Dark Tetrad

A more uncomfortable perspective on manipulation, self-importance, callousness and enjoyment of others' suffering. Use it to question your behaviour, rather than attach a label to yourself or someone else.

The linked Short Dark Tetrad (SD4) questionnaire has 28 items. Review and save its four subscale scores on a 1-5 scale. These are self-reported research measures, not a diagnosis.

Complete. Review. Put it in context.

  1. Start with one assessment. Answer for how you usually behave, rather than who you wish you were. Big Five and Values run inside the app; RIASEC and SD4 use linked external questionnaires.
  2. Review before saving. Check your scores and the scale used. Results from an external questionnaire are imported or entered and reviewed in the assessment workspace.
  3. Keep the four views together. A value can matter deeply even when the behaviour does not come easily. An interest can suggest something worth trying, without defining your identity.
  4. Return to your own life. Write a note about what fits, what does not and what you want to test. Your profile gives context; your observations and choices still matter.

Useful context. Never a verdict.

Self-report depends on your interpretation, circumstances and honesty. Different assessments use different scales; their scores cannot be compared as if they measured the same thing. A high or low score is not a measure of your worth.

Questionnaire scoring does not require AI. Paid AI assistance and Patterns are separate tools for exploring connections in your material. They do not turn a questionnaire into a clinical evaluation.

Assessments are not all available on every plan. See what Basics, Core and Plus include. External questionnaire sites have their own privacy practices.
